History

Jun. 1936 Established as Shibaura Spring Seisakujo.
Sep. 1939 Renamed as Nihon Hatsujo.
Nov. 1940 Transferred the headquarters to Yokohama and started producing suspension springs at the Yokohama Plant.
Dec. 1943 Ina First Plant opened and started manufacturing of precision springs.
Dec. 1953 Participated in the management of Yokohama Kiko.
Mar. 1954 Listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
Feb. 1958 Established Nippatsu Seimitsu Kogyo.
Jul. 1996 Acquired a Brazilian suspension spring manufacturer Fabrini , jointly with Rassini (Mexico).
Aug. 1996 In Thailand, NHK Spring (Thailand) launched the second plant for automotive seats and interiors as well as the first plant for precision springs. It also started construction of a second suspension spring plant.
Oct. 1996 Jointly with Lear Corporation (USA), established General Seating (Thailand) to manufacture automotive seats.
Oct. 1996 Established a second suspension plant dedicated to the manufacturing of suspension for HDDs, in Komagane City
Oct. 1996 Moved parking equipment plant from Komaki City, Aichi Pref. to Yasu, Shiga Pref.
Sep. 1997 An affiliate NHK Sales Co., LTD was registered on the over-the-counter market.
Jan. 1998 Bought into the Jamna Group, an Indian automotive suspension coil manufacturer, to which the Company had provided technical assistance for the last 10 years.
Mar. 1998 Closed the Hiroshima Plant to integrate production sites.
Apr. 1998 Established Jamna-NHK-Allevard Suspension jointly with Jamna Group
Sep. 1998 Jointly with Rassini (Mexico), merged Fabrini (Brazil) and NHK-Simebura (Brazil) into Rassini NHK Autopecas.
Jul. 1999 Established a third suspension plant dedicated to the manufacturing of suspensions for HDDs, in Komagane City.
Jul. 2000 Established NHK Parking Systems jointly with NHK Transport.
Oct. 2001 Established Faurecia-NHK and Faurecia-NHK Kyushu jointly with Faurecia S.A. (France)
May 2002 Established a joint venture, NHK-UNI Spring (Guangzho) Co., LTD, in China.
