Summary
In the era of SDVs (Software Defined Vehicles), the work of component suppliers will change dramatically. The reason, as explained in the previous report of this Series, is that the E/E (electrical/electronic) architecture in SDVs will change from the traditional distributed structure to a centralized one. Hardware and software, which were integrated in a distributed architecture, are separated in a centralized architecture. Component suppliers will be forced to choose whether to deliver only hardware or continue to supply software even in the era of centralized architecture.
