Summary

  U.S.-based Tesla Inc. is not only the world's largest manufacturer of electric vehicles (EVs), but is also at the forefront of the global automotive industry in terms of software-defined vehicles (SDVs). Tesla was the first company in the automotive industry to introduce over-the-air (OTA) software updates in 2012, and its method of collecting data from each vehicle and applying it to software development is another area in which Tesla takes the lead. As finished car manufacturers around the world begin running in unison to SDVs, what is Tesla aiming for?
