History

June 1994 Valeo Wenling Automotive Systems Co. Ltd. was established in Zhejiang Province and began manufacturing wiper systems.
July 1994 Valeo Automotive Air Conditioner Hubei Co., Ltd. was established to manufacture car air conditioning systems in Shashi, Hubei Province.
Aug. 1994 Valeo established Valeo Group China in Beijing, which will function as the Group's regional headquarters in China. 
Oct. 1994 FAW-Zexel Climate Control Systems Co., Ltd., was established in Changchun.
1995 Valeo and SAIC Motor jointly established Shanghai Valeo Automotive Electrical Systems Co., Ltd. to manufacture starters and alternators.
1995 Valeo established a joint venture, Hubei Valeo Auto Lighting Co., Ltd., to manufacture automotive lamps in Wuhan City.
June 1996 Valeo and Shanghai STEC Transportation Electric Co., Ltd. (STEC) jointly established Valeo Shanghai Automotive Electric Motors & Wipers Systems Co., Ltd.
Dec. 1996 Huada-Zexel Automotive Air Conditioner Co., Ltd. was established in Loudi City, Hunan Province.
1997 Valeo and Nanjing Automobile Group jointly established Nanjing Valeo Clutch Co., Ltd. to manufacture clutches.
June 2004 R&D center was established in Wuhan for developing automotive lighting systems.
Dec. 2004 Telma (Valeo subsidiary at the time) established a wholly owned subsidiary, Telma Vehicle Braking Systems (Shanghai) Co., Ltd., to manufacture retarders in Shanghai.
Jan. 2005 Valeo made Valeo Wenling Automotive Systems Co. Ltd. its wholly owned subsidiary by acquiring 100 percent of the share capital held by its joint venture partner.
Mar. 2005 Valeo made Zexel Valeo Climate Control (ZVCC) and Valeo Zexel China Climate Control SA (VZCCC) its wholly owned subsidiaries by acquiring the remaining shares held by Bosch Automotive System.
April 2005 Valeo Thermal Systems and Fawer Automotive Parts jointly established Valeo Fawer Compressor (Changchun) Co., Ltd.
May 2005 Valeo provided 100 percent of the capital needed to establish Valeo Automotive Security Systems (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. to manufacture security systems in Wuxi.
Dec. 2005 Valeo established Shenzen Valeo Interior Controls Co., Ltd. to manufacture switches and detection systems in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province.
Jan. 2006 Valeo provided 100 percent of the capital and established Valeo Automotive Transmissions Systems (Nanjing) Co., Ltd. to manufacture torque converters in Nanjing.
Mar. 2006 Valeo and Ichikoh Industries, Ltd. jointly established Foshan Ichikoh Valeo Auto Lighting Systems Co., Ltd. in Foshan, Guangdong Province.
July 2006 R&D center was established in Shanghai for developing car air conditioning systems.
Dec. 2007 Valeo established Guangzhou Valeo Engine Cooling Co., Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary to manufacture engine cooling modules in Guangzhou. 
July 2008 Established Hubei Valeo Auto Lighting Co., Ltd. Foshan Branch, a wholly owned subsidiary to manufacture fog lamps, in Foshan, Guangdong Province.
Mar. 2009 Changed the company name of FAW-ZEXEL Climate Control System Co., Ltd. to Faw-Valeo Climate Control Systems Co., Ltd.
Mar. 2009 Established Valeo Engine Cooling (Foshan) Co., Ltd., a subsidiary to produce engine cooling systems in Foshan, Guangdong Province.
Nov. 2009 Acquired the remaining shares in Valeo Fawer Compressor (Changchun) Co., Ltd., making it into its wholly owned subsidiary and renaming it Valeo Compressor (Changchun) Co., Ltd.

 Nov. 2016 Changshu Valeo Automotive Wipers Systems Co., Ltd., Valeo's new subsidiary, began operations.
 Apr. 2017 Valeo began operations of Valeo China Technical Center, a new and the largest R&D center in central China.
Jul. 2018 The Company signed contract with Valeo Siemens eAutomotive Parts Germany to establish Fawer Valeo Simens aAutomotive Parts (Changshu) Co., Ltd.
Oct. 2018 New Valeo Siemens Changshu plant opened.
Oct. 2019 Valeo Wuhan Technology Center completed the second-phase expansion.
