Organizational restructuring
-During the fourth quarter of the fiscal year ended September 30, 2023, the Company began restructuring its organization to develop a sustainable competitive position and focus on high-growth markets. As of October 1, 2023, the Company combined its Bearings operating segment with its Uhde, Polysius, and thyssenkrupp nucera business units under the Multi Tracks segment, into the newly created Decarbon Technologies segment. In addition, the Company moved the Automation Engineering business and Springs & Stabilizers business from the Multi Tracks segment into the Automotive Technology segment. It also moved the Forged Technologies segment within the Automotive Technology segment. With the completion of the restructuring, the Company dissolved the former Multi Tracks segment, leaving the five operating segments of Automotive Technology, Decarbon Technologies, Materials Services, Steel Europe, and Marine Systems.
