Ford's advanced manufacturing technologies come out from Advanced Manufacturing Center in Michigan

Ford invensted USD 45 million to bring future manufacturing technologies to life helping speed manufacturing innovations at its Advanced Manufacturing Center in Redford, Michigan.
Approximately 100 advanced manufacturing technology experts flock together surrounded by their specialized eqipment in one open space in Redford.
Ford will ramp up prototyping including 3D printing, augmented and virtual reality, robotics and much more at its new facility before bringing tested innovations to auto plants across the globe.
Using 23 3D printing machines, Ford experts develop applications with different materials to secure cost saving as well as quality. Also, augmented and virtual reality technologies are effectively utilized for simulating and designing assembly lines with less hazardous and fine tune workflow. Furthermore, over 100 small types of collaborative robots are currently used in 24 Ford plants globally. These robots are developped considering work efficiency, safety and cost.
