沿革

1935年	2輪車用トランスミッションおよびギア部品メーカーとして設立。
2000年	DANA Corporationと戦略的提携関係を締結。
2001年	Fordと合弁会社GETRAG FORD Transmissions GmbHを設立。
2004年	Volvo、Danaとともに合弁会社GETRAG All Wheel Drive ABを設立。
2007年	江鈴汽車 (Jiangling Motor) と合弁会社GETRAG Transmission Co. Ltd.を設立。
2011年	アクスル事業をGKN plcに売却。
2013年	ドイツのタイミングギア事業から撤退。
2016年1月	Magna Internationalに買収された。
