History
Apr. 1935 | Established Tokyo Stamp Works Co. Ltd. in Kouto-ku, Tokyo with capital of 300,000 yen. Mainly engaged in stamping and assembly of sheet metal. |
Oct. 1937 | Acquired Jotoh Kogyo. |
Jan. 1958 | Acquired Tokyo Die-Cast Co. Ltd. |
July 1960 | Set up a die-cast plant in Kanagawa, and named it the Sagamihara Plant. |
Oct. 1963 | Set up an assembly plant in the Sagamihara Plant. combining it with a die-cast plant and stamping plant. |
March 1964 | Set up a stamping and assembly plant in Hiroshima (currently East Hiroshima City) and named it the Hiroshima Plant. |
July 1964 | Moved the headquarters from Kouto-ku to Chuo-ku, Tokyo. |
July 1965 | Merged the Tokyo Plant into the Sagamihara Plant. |
Jan. 1968 | Established a stamping plant and die-cast plant in the Sagamihara Plant. |
Aug. 1978 | Established a representative office in the US. |
Oct. 1985 | Changed the Company name to Topre Corporation. |
May 2000 | Started constructing in June 2000 a 2.5 billion yen new plant in Kyusyu to produce press parts for Toyota and Nissan factories in Kyusyu. Topre plans to supply the parts, currently produced at Hiroshima Plant. |
July 2000 | The refrigerator sales subsidiary of Topre, Topurec, strengthened its sales and service functions in the Kansai area, relatively weak as compared with the Tokyo area. |
Nov. 2000 | Topre has developed, jointly with a steel plate maker, the strongest, 150-kilogram tension press parts for the body of a car. |
Nov. 1999 | Established Topre Kyusyu Co., Ltd. in Tanushimaru-machi, Ukiha-gun, Fukuoka, Japan with capital of 100 million Yen. |
June 2002 | Established Topre America Corporation in Cullman, Alabama, USA. Topre America is currently a consolidated subsidiary capitalized at 25 million yen as of March 31, 2009. |
Apr. 2008 | Established Topre Saitama Co., Ltd. in Tokigawa Town, Saitama Prefecture. Topre Saitama is capitalized at 100 million yen and is currently a consolidated subsidiary. |
Jan. 2010 | Established Topre (Foshan) Autoparts Corporation, wholly investing 2 billion yen in capital. The company is a consolidated subsidiary. |
Dec. 2010 | Established Topre Thailand Co., Ltd., currently a consolidated subsidiary, in Bangkok. |
Feb. 2012 | Established Topre Xiangyang Automobile Parts Co., Ltd., currently a consolidated subsidiary, in Xiangyang, Hubei Province. |
Mar. 2012 | Established Topre Autoparts Mexico,S.A de C.V., currently a consolidated subsidiary, in Querétaro. |
Jan. 2014 | Established a new plant in Suzuka, Mie Prefecture (the Suzuka Plant), which produces automotive equipment. |
Oct. 2015 | Established a new production plant, Topre (Thailand) Co., Ltd., in Samut Prakan Province in Thailand. |
Jan. 2016 | Turned Topre Tokai Corporation (Inabe-gun, Mie Pref. ) into a wholly owned subsidiary (now a consolidated subsidiary capitalized at JPY 490 million). |
Apr. 2017 | The operations of Topre Saitama, a consolidated subsidiary, were merged into the Company’s operations. The Suzuka Plant operations were transferred to Topre Tokai. |
Oct. 2017 | The operations of Topre Gifu, a consolidated subsidiary, were merged into the Company’s operations. |
Mar. 2019 | Established Topre (Wuhan) Autoparts Corporation, wholly investing 500 million yen in capital. The company is a consolidated subsidiary. |
