History

Oct. 1923 Founded Mikuni Shoten, a limited partnership company, and started to import automobiles, bicycles and components.
Dec. 1933 Registered as Mikuni Shoten Co., Ltd.
Dec. 1936 Kamata Plant started production.
July, 1939 Renamed as Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd.
July, 1944 Odawara Plant started production.
Oct. 1948 Under the corporate reconstruction law, the company was split into 2 companies, No.2 Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd. (Kamata Plant and trading dept.) and Mikuni Seisakusho (Odawara Plant).
Feb. 1949 Started production of carburetors for small cars and mechanical pumps.
Apr. 1950 Renamed No.2 Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd. as Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd.
Apr. 1955 Merged with Mikuni Seisakusho Co., Ltd.
Oct. 1960 Licensing agreement with Solex, France, to produce Solex-type carburetors.
July, 1961 Renamed as Mikuni Kogyo Co., Ltd and transferred its trading business to newly established Mikuni Shoko Co., Ltd.

2011 The Company, together with Pierburg Pump Technology that is under the KSPG Group, established Pierburg Mikuni Pump Technology Corporation as a joint venture.
2012 Established Eberspaecher Mikuni Climate Control Systems Corporation, a joint venture with Eberspaecher to manufacture automotive heaters.

Established a new joint venture in China, Pierburg Mikuni Pump Technology (Shanghai) Corp.

Mar. 2015 Listed on the first section of the Tokyo Stock Exchange.
