Business Overview

-The Company is a subsidiary of Germany-based Continental AG. Continental is ranked 9th in the 2022 global automotive parts supplier ranking (MarkLines survey). The company officially started operations in China in 1994. Currently, the company has 23 production sites and 28 R&D centers in China and approximately 17,600 employees.

-On January 1, 2022, the Company restructured its former two sector business organization (Autonomous Mobility and Safety (AMS) and Vehicle Networking and Information (VNI)) into four business sectors: Automotive, Tires, ContiTech and Contract Manufacturing. The four sectors comprise a total of 17 business areas. In addition, the Contract Manufacturing division has taken over the operations of the former Powertrain Technologies division.

-The Continental Group's sales in 2022 were EUR 39.4 billion. Compared to 2021, Continental China's sales increased by more than 20% year-over-year.

-Continental has established the following carbon neutrality goals

Starting in 2022, Continental will fully promote carbon neutrality in zero-emission automobiles, buses, trains and other vehicles worldwide. By 2040, all of the Company’s production processes will achieve carbon-neutrality, and by 2050 at the latest, all operations companywide will be fully carbon-neutral.
