  CES 2023 was held from January 5 through January 8, 2023 in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. After the Omicron variant of COVID-19 resulted in cancellations and a decline in attendance for CES 2022 to 40,000 attendees, CES 2023 saw a resurgence in visitors with approximately 115,000 attendees. The Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall featured nearly 300 exhibitors showcasing technologies for automotive and mobility markets. Automotive and mobility exhibitors spanned more than 400,000 square feet at CES 2023, or 20% of the exhibition's total area.

  As with recent CES exhibitions, automakers debuted and showcased several upcoming production models at CES 2023. Volkswagen revealed a near-production concept of the ID.7, highlighted by its camouflaged paintwork design enabling 22 different sections to be individually lit. Volvo's EX90 made its North American debut at CES 2023, after being unveiled in Stockholm in November 2022. Mercedes-Benz displayed its EQE SUV while VinFast revealed additional details about the VF 6 and VF7 which debuted at CES 2022.
