Summary

CEATEC 2019
At the entrance to CEATEC 2019 at Makuhari Messe

CEATEC 2019 (October 15 – 18, 2019 at Makuhari Messe) was held under the theme “Connecting Society, Co-Creating the Future.” This was the 20th anniversary of the launch of CEATEC as the merger of the Electronics Show and COM JAPAN in 2000. As an exhibition that can embody Japan’s “Society 5.0” growth strategy, displays by companies in industries other than transportation, finance, and construction increased and the exhibition area was enlarged.

Exhibits by automotive OEMs and parts suppliers which had increased over the past few years decreased this time and even general electronics manufacturers did not have device exhibits, but electronic parts suppliers exhibited many automotive-related products. In this report, we will introduce electric vehicle and powertrain electronics related technologies selected from the exhibition.
