1997年12月	PSA标致雪铁龙持股68%的子公司Ecia(1929年成立)收购了欧洲最大座椅供应商Bertrand Faure(1914年成立)。
1999年06月	Ecia与Bertrand Faure正式合并，改名为佛吉亚(Faurecia)。
2000年10月	收购Sommer Allibert。收购时受到PSA标致雪铁龙的财政支援，故其持有该公司71.5%的股份。
2007年	以40万欧元收购法国Cadence Innovation部分资产。以940万欧元收购罗马尼亚内饰配件厂商Euro Auto-Plastic Systems srl 50%的股份。收购Duroplast集团所持有的Faurecia Duroplast Mexico公司的50%股份，使其成为佛吉亚的全资子公司。在中国成立3家新公司，分别为佛吉亚（上海）汽车部件系统有限公司、佛吉亚（武汉）汽车座椅有限公司、佛吉亚（青岛）排气系统有限公司。在韩国成立Faurecia Trim Korea Ltd.。

2009年05月	在法国Caligny成立Global Seat Mechanisms Center。
2010年	收购美国的大型排气系统零部件供应商EMCON Technologies LLC(密歇根州Troy)。
2012年	从Plastal France (Plastal S.A.S.)、Sora Composites的汽车业务部、福特旗下的Automotive Components Holdings (ACH) 收购美国密西根州Saline的内饰零部件业务。
2016年7月	转让汽车外饰部门(保险杠及前端模块)给彼欧。
2017年2月	佛吉亚宣布同意与芬兰初创企业TactoTek合作。TactoTek是Injection Molded Structural Electronics (IMSE)的解决方案供应商。
2017年5月	佛吉亚宣布获得STELIA Aerospace Composites的复合氢气罐相关知识产权的独家使用权。使用了燃料电池车用碳纤维的高压氢气罐的设计、制造及商品化成为可能。
2017年11月	完成收购江西好帮手电子科技有限公司的股份手续。新公司致力于开发新型车载信息娱乐系统解决方案。
2017年12月	佛吉亚宣布对美国初创企业Alsentis进行投资，目的是进一步强化智能表面技术，Alsentis专业从事静电容量传感器技术和人机界面(HMI)技术。
2018年10月	完成收购Parrot Automotive的所有股份。公司改名为Parrot Faurecia Automotive。
2019年3月	完成收购歌乐。歌乐是汽车导航、汽车音响、ADAS、驾驶员监控系统及座舱域控制器等的大型电子零部件供应商。
2019年4月	整合歌乐与Parrot Automotive、Coagent Electronics，作为歌乐电子存续，设立业务部门。
