Oct. 1988 Acquired Pollak, a leading manufacturer of electronic and electromechanical switch products.
Feb. 1992 Acquired TED, a manufacturer of electronic instrumentation components, modules and systems.
Jan. 1994 Alphabet, Inc. and Alphastac, Inc. were merged into the Company.
Nov. 1995 Acquired the business, machinery and equipment, intellectual property rights and purchase contracts of the actuator business of Kelsey-Hayes.
Apr. 1996 Acquired approximately 45% of Berifors AB.
Aug. 1997 Entered into two joint venture agreements and a cooperation agreement with Connecto AB, a Swedish manufacturer of power distribution systems.
Oct. 1997 Listed on the NY stock exchange.
Acquired the remaining 55% of the outstanding stock of Berifors through a share exchange.
Acquired 50% of the outstanding common stock of PST Industria Electronica da Amazonia Ltda.
Dec. 1998 Acquired all of the outstanding common shares of Hi-Stat Manufacturing Co., Inc.
Mar. 1999 Purchased certain assets and assumed certain liabilities of Delta Schroeller, Limited (Delta). Delta is a United Kingdom manufacturer of switches for the automotive industry.
Aug. 1999 Purchased all the outstanding shares of TVI Europe, Limited (TVI). TVI is a United Kingdom manufacturer of vehicle information and management systems for the European commercial vehicle market.
Sep. 2004 Opened an international purchasing office in Shanghai, China.
Mar. 2005 Announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Vimercati, S.p.A., an Italian full-service switch products supplier for the automotive industry.
Jan. 2006 Established a new subsidiary and manufacturing operation in Suzhou, China.
2007 Announced to cease manufacturing at its European operating segment in the Control Devices due to the loss of a significant customer contract.
Oct. 2009 Acquired a 51% equity interest in Bolton Conductive Systems LLC (BCS), an electrical system supplier based in Michigan, USA.
Mar. 2010 Opened a new technical center and sales office in Shanghai, China.
Dec. 2011 Acquired an additional 24% ownership of PST Eletronica S.A., a Brazil-based vehicle electronics joint venture. Since the Company's ownership interest in PST increased from 50% to 74%, PST became the Company's consolidated subsidiary.
Aug. 2014 Sold its Wiring business to India-based Motherson Sumi Systems.
Jan. 2017 Completed acquisition of Orlaco Products B.V., a leading supplier of vehicle camera solutions.
May 2017 Acquired remaining 26% stake in PST Electronica Ltda., making it a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company.
