-Sensata Technologies (Sensata) is a global leader in the development, manufacture, and sale of sensors, sensor solutions, electrical protection components and systems, controls, and software for a wide variety of markets, including the automotive market.

-Approximately 54% of Sensata’s net sales in the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023 was derived from the automotive market.

-Sensata organizes its operations into two businesses, Performance Sensing and Sensing Solutions. The Performance Sensing business is a leading supplier of automotive and heavy vehicle and off-road (HVOR) sensors, including pressure sensors, speed and position sensors, temperature sensors, and pressure switches. The Performance Sensing business accounted for approximately 74% of the Company’s net sales in the fiscal year ended December 31, 2023.

Sensing Solutions Business

-To better pursue clean energy components and system opportunities, in the fiscal year 2021, the company organized a new business unit in its Sensing Solutions operating segment, Clean Energy Solutions, which includes products and solutions such as high-voltage contactors, inverters, rectifiers, and battery management systems. This new business unit serves the industrial, stationary, and commercial energy conversion and storage end market.
