Business Overview

-The Company is a French manufacturer and a global leader in the development and manufacturing of components and systems focused on supporting future mobility applications. Its products include exterior body assemblies, energy storage systems, pollution reduction systems, lighting systems, hydrogen technologies, front-end modules, and embedded software systems.

-In March 2024, the Company changed its name from Plastic Omnium to OPmobility, highlighting its increasing strategic focus in sustainable and connected mobility. With the name change, the Company also reorganized its reporting structure for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024. Its activities for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2024 comprised of three reporting segments divided into five business groups as follows:

  • Exterior Systems segment
    • Exterior business group: Develops and manufactures exterior systems such as intelligent bumpers and tailgates; The systems created aim to improve vehicle performance while offering modern features such as connectivity, communication and personalization
    • Lighting business group: Develops and manufactures automotive lighting systems, ranging from traditional headlights and signal lighting to advanced products including projection solutions, interior and car body lighting, front lighting systems, and lighting electronics
  • Modules segment: Designs, develops and manufactures automotive modules
  • Powertrain segment
    • C-Power business group: Develops and manufactures internal combustion systems, focusing on energy storage and emission reduction systems for gasoline, diesel, hybrid and plug-in hybrid powertrains; The business group also designs and manufactures e-Power systems, which includes battery systems, electronics, and power electronic components for passenger vehicles, trucks, buses, trains, and machinery
    • H2-Power business group: Designs and manufactures hydrogen solutions including high-pressure fuel tanks, fuel cell stacks and integrated systems


-As of February 1, 2025, the Company continued its restructuring activities, combining the Exterior and Lighting business groups into a single business group called Exterior & Lighting.

-The Company is the global leader in the development and production of fuel systems with a market share of 22%. Annually, the Company produces approximately 22 million bumpers, 3 million tailgates and spoilers, 4 million body panels and 6 million modules. The Company aims to have a 30% market share in fuel systems, 25% market share in hydrogen storage systems, 15% market share in fuel cells and systems by 2030.

-The Company follows three strategic pillars as guidance through the evolution of mobility. The strategic pillars are the enhancement of the Company’s technological leadership, the diversification of its global presence, specifically in relation to its position in North America and Asia, and the diversification of its customer portfolio, specifically with new entrants in the mobility ecosystem. Examples of the Company following its strategy  include the following:

  • Enhancement of technological leadership: The Company created OP’nSoft, an entity focused on the development of software to support the Company’s mobility solutions. The Company also introduced One4you to provide customized exterior solutions combining the synergies from Company’s business groups.
  • Diversification of global presence: The Company opened a new Module plant in Austin, Texas in 2024, its 12th plant in the U.S. The Company also has a network of 37 plants and 5 R&D centers in China. In India, the Company opened a regional hub in Pune in 2024.
  • Diversification of customer portfolio: The Company has expanded beyond the automotive markets and is working with heavy mobility companies including Alstrom and Siemens. It is also developing battery electric and hydrogen solutions for vehicles including trucks, buses and trains. In July 2024, the Company signed a contract with Stadler to supply 15 hydrogen-powered trains in Italy.
