CAMPI-TMA Philippine vehicle sales at 33,696 units in January 2026, down 10.2% YoY
Reported on February 26, 2026, a joint report by the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines Inc. (CAMPI) and the Truck Manufacturers Association (TMA) showed that vehicle sales totaled 33,696 units in January, down 10.2% from 37,604 units in January 2025. Commercial vehicle sales reached 27,518 units, while passenger car sales reached 6,178 units.
New electrified vehicle (NEV) sales rose 63.1% to 2,610 units from 1,600 units a year earlier. Of these, PHEVs accounted for 277 units, BEVs for 261 units, and HEVs for 2,072 units.
Toyota Motor Philippines Corp. led the market with a 48.5% share, followed by Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corp. (20.8%), Suzuki Philippines Inc. (4.9%), Nissan Philippines Inc. (4.7%), and Ford Motor Co. Philippines Inc. (3.8%).
CAMPI’s president said the January decline was expected after strong demand in December 2025. Despite the softer start, the industry remains on track to surpass 500,000 units in full-year sales.
Including combined CAMPI-TMA data and other industry figures, total vehicle sales reached 35,053 units in January.
