| CES 2023 welcome display |
CES 2023 was hosted in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S., from January 5 through January 8, 2023, featuring an increase in visitors to 115,000 attendees after the COVID-19 Omicron variant forced numerous cancellations in 2022. CES 2023 had more than 400,000 square feet of automotive and mobility exhibits from nearly 300 companies, which comprised 20% of the exhibition's total area and made CES 2023 one of the world's largest global auto shows.
Concept vehicles carried a significant presence at CES 2023, serving as indicators of future directions. Stellantis debuted two concepts with the Ram 1500 Revolution BEV Concept previewing future electric trucks and the Peugeot Inception Concept highlighting new technologies for the brand. The Afeela Prototype showcased by Sony Honda Mobility previewed the new vehicle brand and built anticipation for its first production model. BMW emphasized HMI and new vehicle interactions through digitalization with the BMW i Vision Dee concept. Finally, Mercedes-Benz showed the VISION EQXX efficiency concept vehicle after virtually debuting it at CES 2022.
