Carmakers in Malaysia to still be safe from new OMV excise duty regulations until end of 2024, MAA says
On January 19, 2022, the president of Malaysian Automotive Association (MAA) stated that the auto industry has received a 2-year postponement of new open market value (OMV) excise duty regulations from the government, hence no major price hike for cars due to tax reasons until the end of 2024.
