VW executive receives 7 year sentence, fine for diesel emissions scandal in U.S.
On December 6, former Volkswagen executive Oliver Schmidt was sentenced to 7 years in prison and fined USD 400,000 by a U.S. federal court in Detroit for his role in the company’s diesel emissions cheating scheme.
