The 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024) was held at the China International Exhibition Center from April 25 to May 4. The exhibition attracted attention from renowned Chinese and non-Chinese automakers, suppliers, and technology exhibitors. The event covered a total area of 220,000 square meters, showcasing 117 world premiere models, 41 concept cars and 278 NEV models. A total of 892,000 people (including 28,000 from outside of China) visited the venue.
VW unveiled the ID.CODE electric SUV design concept car for the first time in the world. Also on display was ID.UNYX, the first model of the ID.UX sub-brand within the ID. family. The ID. family will add 16 new models to its lineup in China by 2030. The Audi brand unveiled the Q6L e-torn, which features long wheels, for the first time in the world. Mercedes-Benz announced the world premiere of the production model of its EQG electric off-roader, as well as the opening of its Digital Innovation Center in Shanghai. The Smart brand also held the world premiere of its Concept#5 electric SUV. From the BMW Group, the i4 improved version and from the MINI brand, the Aaceman made their world premieres.
