The 12th AUTO EXPO 2014 Components exibition was held from 6th to 9th of February 2014 at Pragati Maidan in downtown New Delhi. Since the Motor Show portion of the Auto Expo was moved this year to India Expo Mart, the number of suppliers at  the Components exhibition decreased by about 400 to 1,100 compared with the previous event held in 2012. Leading suppliers in India, such as Motherson Group, and Bosch and ZF, were among those did not show up.

The number of visitors, too, decreased substantially compared to when the Motor Show and the Components Show were held simultaneously at the same venue. However, the method of admission to the Components Show was changed this year from tickets to admission-free registration for professional visitors. Some exhibitors commented that "we have more quality visitors than before who are ready for business talks."

There were about 20 permanent pavilions in Pragati Maidan and only ten or so were used during the Components exhibition. The venue included six large halls and eight temporary tents called hangars. Hangars were used by national delegations and some of them were China pavilions. Among others, Korean pavilion and German pavilion stunned visitors with scale. Many of the parts suppliers in China pavilion displayed a broad lineup of aftermarket parts for motorcycles. Japanese suppliers displayed their products at their own booths at permanent pavilions.(Click for a detailed report of exhibits by major parts suppliers. This is the first time the Auto Expo 2014 is held in India Expo Mart in a new industrial zone which is about 40km southwest of downtown New Delhi. It is about an hour's drive from New Delhi on a well-maintained eight-lane expressway. Signboards about the Auto Expo 2014 could be seen from bridges or junctions more than 20km away from the venue. The largest bridge on the way was covered with the Chevrolet logo to welcome the anxious visitors. The roads near the India Expo Mart were congested although nearly all vehicles somehow found their way to the nearby toll parking. There was no parking near Paragati Maidan, the previous venue of the Motor Show. In contrast, there was no public transportation service to India Expo Mart and a massive number of visitors came in private cars. Tata Motors had chartered buses for its customers.
