Sales of new energy vehicles in January 2022 increased 110.0% y/y and decreased 38.0% m/m to 322,000 units. Passenger cars accounted for 97.5% of new energy vehicle sales, trucks for 1.3%, and buses for 1.2%.

By province, sales in January 2022 were up 121.9% y/y to 46,000 units in Guangdong, 143.8% y/y to 36,000 units in Zhejiang, and 187.7% y/y to 32,000 units in Jiangsu, and by city, Shanghai was down 9.8% y/y to 20,000 units, Shenzhen was up 69.8% y/y to 15,000 units, and Hangzhou was up 89.4% y/y to 12,000 units.
