Mercedes-Benz agrees to USD 13 million U.S. penalty for recall reporting delays
On December 18, Mercedes-Benz agreed to a payment of USD 13 million penalty, with another USD 7 million deferred if certain conditions are met, in a settlement with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) for a series of reporting failures involving recalled vehicles.
