In addition to these, Lumax Industries boasts two government-recognized R&D centers in India and one in Taiwan. History

1945 Founded as a trading company.
1956-1966 Established manufacturing units for automotive lighting equipment.
1975 Established manufacturing unit for automotive filters.
1984 Became a public company. Started technical collaboration with Stanley Electric Co. Ltd.
1985-87 The Company went public and listed its shares in the stock market. Start of operations by the manufacturing unit at Gurgaon, Haryana for Maruti Suzuki.
1990 Auto bulb manufacturing unit established in association with Stanley
1994 Stanley Electric Co. Ltd. acquired financial stake in the Company
Manufacturing unit established at Aurangabad, Maharashtra.
2004 Separated from mirror and filter division to focus on automotive lighting products.
