Indonesian sales up 3.3% in December, up 6.9% in 2018
Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in December 2018 were 87,846 units up 3.3% year over year.
The 2018 full year sales were up 6.9% to 1,151,291 units.
By automaker sales in 2018, Toyota was down 5.2% y/y to 352,161 units and Daihatsu was up 8.8% to 202,738 units. Honda was down 13.2% to 162,170 units as well. Mitsubishi was up 79.0% to 142,861 units. Suzuki was up 5.7% to 118,014 units.
Gaikindo projected car sales in Indonesia to stay at 1.1 million units in 2019.

Indonesian sales up 4.8% in November
Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in November were 100,738 units up 4.8% year over year.
January - November sales were up 7.2% to 1,063,464 units.
By automaker sales in November, Toyota was up 11.1% y/y to 31,981 units and Daihatsu was up 9.5% to 17,910 units. Honda was up 0.3% to 15,852 units. Mitsubishi was down 4.4% to 10,140 units. Suzuki was down 8.2% to 10,107 units.
Gaikindo expects that Indonesian vehicle sales in 2018 will exceed the target of 1.1 million units.

Indonesian sales up 12.3% in October
Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in October were 106,050 units up 12.3% year over year.
January - October sales were up 7.4% to 962,697 units.
By automaker sales in October, Toyota was up 20.5% y/y to 36,119 units and Daihatsu was up 25.5% to 21,026 units. Honda was down 9.0% to 15,489 units. Mitsubishi was up 45.2% to 11,147 units. Suzuki was down 11.3% to 8,514 units.
Mitsubishi sales jumped by 45.2% with the all-new Xpander crossover MPV wholesales.

Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in September were 93,103 units up 6.3% year over year.
January - September sales were up 6.8% to 856,439 units.
By automaker sales in September, Toyota was up 9.4% y/y to 29,821 units and Daihatsu was up 10.3% to 17,110 units. Mitsubishi was up 63.1% to 11,938 units. Honda was down 27.5% to 10,960 units. Suzuki was down 2.7% to 8,880 units.
Mitsubishi sales jumped by 63.1% with the all-new Xpander crossover MPV wholesales.

Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in August were 102,197 units up 5.2% year over year.
January - August sales were up 6.9% to 763,336 units.
By automaker sales in August, Toyota was down 10.2% y/y to 31,149 units and Daihatsu was up 10.7% to 17,510 units. Honda was down 16.0% to 14,862 units. Mitsubishi was up 136.6% to 13,284 units. Suzuki was up 7.3% to 10,764 units.
Mitsubishi sales jumped by 136.6% with the all-new Xpander crossover MPV wholesales. China-based Wuling also increased its sales by 141.5%.

January - July sales were up 7.2% to 661,093 units.
By automaker sales in July, Toyota was up 10.6% y/y to 34,984 units and Daihatsu was up 22.9% to 17,964 units. Honda was up 20.1% to 15,226 units. Mitsubishi was up 170.9% to 13,948 units. Suzuki was up 3.7% to 10,503 units.
Mitsubishi sales jumped by 170.9% with the all-new Xpander crossover MPV wholesales.

Indonesian sales down 11.4% in June
Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in June were 58,837 units down 11.4% year over year. Sales decreased due to Idul Fitri holidays.
January - June sales were up 3.8% to 553,779 units.
By automaker sales in June, Toyota was down 15.2% y/y to 18,642 units and Honda was up 2.9% to 9,096 units. Suzuki was down 6.1% to 7,515 units. Mitsubishi was up 22.0% to 6,761 units. Daihatsu was down 49.9% to 6,720 units.
Mitsubishi sales jumped by 22.0% with the all-new Xpander crossover MPV wholesales.

January - May sales were up 6.0% to 494,920 units.
By automaker sales in May, Toyota was down 11.8% y/y to 28,950 units and Daihatsu was up 13.6% to 17,733 units. Honda was down 14.3% to 14,324 units. Mitsubishi was up 75.9% to 12,849 units. Suzuki was up 36.4% to 12,555 units.
Mitsubishi sales skyrocketed by 75.9% with the all-new Xpander crossover MPV wholesales. Suzuki sales increased 36.4% due to the all-new Ertiga MPV launch.

Indonesian sales down 0.6% in March
Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in March were 101,674 units down 0.6% year over year.
January - March sales were up 2.9% to 291,920 units.
By automaker sales in March, Toyota was down 18.7% y/y to 31,424 units and Daihatsu was up 6.3% to 17,159 units. Mitsubishi was up 152.6% to 13,977 units. Honda was down 45.6% to 10,792 units. Suzuki was up 5.6% to 9,729 units.
Mitsubishi sales skyrocketed by 152.6% with the all-new Xpander crossover MPV wholesales. China based Wuling has entered the market and is expanding its sales.

Indonesian sales up down 0.9% in February
Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in February were 94,261 units down 0.9% year over year.
January - February sales were up 4.9% to 190,236 units.
By automaker sales in February, Toyota was down 23.5% y/y to 27,665 units and Mitsubishi (including Fuso trucks) was up 103.0% to 18,411 units. Daihatsu was down 11.8% to 15,660 units. Honda was down 27.0% to 11,894 units. Suzuki was up 37.7% to 11,115 units.
Mitsubishi sales skyrocketed by 103.0% with the all-new Xpander crossover MPV wholesales. In February, Xpander became a market leader in the MPV segment, overtaking Toyota Avanza.

Indonesian sales up 11.2% in January
Indonesian automobile manufacturers association (Gaikindo) and other sources reported that Indonesian vehicle sales in January were 95,892 units up 11.2% year over year.
By automaker sales in January, Toyota was down 21.5% y/y to 25,405 units and Daihatsu was up 18.7% to 18,788 units. Mitsubishi (including Fuso trucks) was up 122.4% to 17,753 units .Honda was down 19.7% to 13,572 units. Suzuki was up 61.7% to 11,511 units.
Mitsubishi sales skyrocketed by 122.4% with the all-new Xpander crossover MPV wholesales.
