India’s premier and largest automotive exhibition Auto Expo 2023 - The Motor Show was held between January 11 to January 18, 2023, at the India Expo Mart in Greater Noida. The first two days were exclusively reserved for the media (i.e., Press days). The Auto Expo 2023 occupied a total of 235,000 square meters area, with top vehicle manufacturers taking up a total of 64,000 square meters of gross indoor built-up space. The Show saw a turnout of 636,743 visitors, which is the highest-ever visitor turnout at the Auto Expo.
The two-wheeler segment of this year's Auto Expo was dominated by electric two-wheeler start-up companies. The major two-wheeler OEMs such as Hero MotoCorp, Honda, TVS, Bajaj, Royal Enfield, etc, did not participate in the event. However, Hero MotoCorp, Bajaj Auto, and TVS Motors presented their already-launched products at the event. The major players in the electric two-wheeler market like Hero Electric, Okinawa Scooters, Ather Energy, and Ola Electric also skipped the event. Nevertheless, a few other players like Wardwizard and Ampere by Greaves launched some existing products at the event. Other electric two-wheeler start-ups like Matters, Motovolt, Ultraviolette, Gravton Motors, Corrit Electric also presented their upcoming products at the event.
This report mainly focuses on the electric two-wheeler start-ups that presented their products at the Auto Expo show. This report also strives to increase awareness about existing electric two-wheeler models from leading OEMs in India and major updates from new companies such as Adishwar Auto.
