SAE International hosted the WCX 2024 conference at the Huntington Place exhibition hall in Detroit, Michigan, U.S. from April 16 through April 18, 2024. WCX 2024 featured more than 100 exhibitors, an increase from the 90 exhibitors in the previous year. The conference hosted three keynote and eight Leadership Summit sessions. WCX 2024 also allowed attendees to ride and test various EVs simulating the J3300 driver certification test.
At WCX 2024, GM and Toyota showed vehicles representing different strategies to reduce vehicle emissions. Toyota's exhibit highlighted their collaborations with ExxonMobil and Chevron for the development and testing of low-carbon fuels. GM's Hydrotec division showcased its hydrogen power cube fuel cell system and some of its use cases. A Learning Lab session presented unique technologies on the Tesla Cybertruck. A keynote session with a Ford representative discussed industry trends, while a Leadership Summit panel with representatives from Tier 1 suppliers covered various topics on future mobility.
