According to various media sources, Chinese EV startup SITECH and China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (SINOTRUK) formed a strategic partnership on January 20. They will cooperate in terms of product R&D, supply chain management, manufacturing, and distribution channels.
The two companies plan to jointly launch several products in 2021, among which the first one will be out of the DEV series, set to enter the market in the second quarter of 2021. The first product will be a small battery electric hatchback, supporting a range of 400km. SITECH will be responsible for product design, component development, brand marketing, and customer management, while SINOTRUK will work on component procurement, production management and quality management.

On November 19, China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (SINOTRUK) started operation of its intelligent connected (new energy) heavy duty project in Laiwu District, Jinan City, Shandong Province. It also marked the rolling off of the first vehicle being a “Yellow River” brand heavy truck off the production line.
Various media sources reported that this project will mainly produce high-end heavy trucks with an annual planned capacity of 100,000 units, and will develop new energy and intelligent connected vehicles by using new energy, unmanned driving, artificial intelligence and other relevant technologies.

On August 17, a groundbreaking ceremony was held for the intelligent forklift project of the KION Group AG and the intelligent connected heavy-duty truck second-phase project of the China National Heavy Duty Truck Group Co., Ltd. (CNHTC) in Shandong Province.
The KION intelligent forklift project is invested in by the KION Group AG in a bid to build a high-end new energy forklift R&D and manufacturing base. CNHTC plans to invest CNY 15 billion in the intelligent connected heavy-duty truck second-phase project.
