On April 9, JAC introduced its next-generation modular platform and the next-generation A00 mini-size EV platform. During the period from 2019 to 2021, the automaker will leverage the modular platform to develop the S811 and the X811 compact urban SUVs. The platform covers models including A0 to B-class SUVs, sedans, and MPVs. Vehicles underpinned on this platform will feature multiple powertrains such as electric power, fuel power, and hybrid power. JAC will leverage the new A00 EV platform to develop sedans and SUVs.
For the next four years, JAC will launch the all-new A432, S432, and S811 and upgrade seven models. For NEVs, it will launch the iEVA60, iEVA432, iEVS4, X811, and all-new A00. It will launch four annual models (2019 versions) as well.
The all-new iEVS4 EV will be launched at the 2019 Shanghai Auto Show. The vehicle will be produced at VW’s production lines. It has an NEDC range of 420 km and takes 30 minutes to be charged from 30% to 80% under fast charge mode. It can drive 80 km after a 10-minute fast charge.

Reported on March 28, 2019, Mpire JAC Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of China-based automobile and commercial vehicle manufacturer JAC Motors of light commercial vehicles in Malaysia, is targeting a 5% share of the light truck market in 2019, its first year in the Malaysian market.
Managing Director of Mpire Auto Group, the parent company of Mpire JAC, said that the company needs to establish the JAC brand first since it is relatively new in Malaysia, although it is already number one in China and other countries such as Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and Colombia.
