On May 17, LG Energy Solution Ltd. announced it won an estimated KRW 1.4 trillion (USD 1 billion) energy storage system (ESS) deal from the U.S. unit of South Korea’s Hanwha Q Cells Co. in a move to boost profits amid the slowdown in the global EV industry.
