  The 2024 Advanced Clean Transportation (ACT) Expo held at the Las Vegas Convention Center West Hall in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S. from May 20 through May 23, 2024, represented the largest iteration of the exhibition to date. The exhibition hall was approximately twice the size compared to 2023, with 410 exhibitors and a keynote stage. An estimated 12,000 people from more than 50 countries attended ACT Expo 2024.

  Several OEMs debuted new vehicles and brands during ACT Expo 2024. Daimler's battery electric autonomous demonstrator vehicle made its public debut at the exhibition. Kenworth debuted the SuperTruck 2, a demonstrator developed under a U.S. DOE technology initiative. Volvo Trucks presented its new VNL platform and unveiled a next-generation truck showcasing the next step towards fully autonomous Class 8 trucks. ZM Trucks debuted as a regional brand under ZO Motors Tokyo, revealing three battery electric vehicles in its lineup.

  During ACT Expo 2024, Hino Trucks and Hexagon Purus announced a new zero-emission truck brand called Tern with the RC8 battery electric tractor as its inaugural model. Rizon, a Daimler vehicle brand which debuted at ACT Expo 2023, introduced the e18Mx and e18Lx medium-duty electric vehicles. Lion Electric unveiled its new Lion8 Tractor fully electric Class 8 truck. Multiple suppliers, including OPmobility, Freudenberg, and Cummins, showcased batteries for electric commercial vehicle applications. Cummins, Linamar, Dana, and ZF also showcased electric drive axles and motors.

  This report is the second report highlighting content shown at ACT Expo 2024. This report focuses on non-hydrogen commercial vehicles and technologies exhibited by OEM brands and suppliers, including Daimler, Kenworth, Volvo, ZM Trucks, Tern, Rizon, Lion Electric, OPmobility, Freudenberg, Cummins, Linamar, Dana and ZF.
