Indian OEMs presented their latest technologies and models in the commercial vehicle segment at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2024. They have presented their ICE, electric, and hydrogen vehicles in the event. The reports cover major innovations and new models by commercial vehicle OEMs like Tata Motors, Ashok Leyland, Force Motors, EKA, Eicher Group, and JBM.

The commercial vehicle segment presented an exciting growth opportunity for Indian OEMs. The rapid urbanization, government pushes for infrastructure development, development of the manufacturing sector and other industries, replacement demand, improved economic sentiments, etc. are driving truck sales in India. Since most trucks are run on diesel, there is a greater demand for bio fuel and electric trucks to reduce environmental impact.
The resumption of tourism and public transportation during the Covid pandemic are driving bus sales in India. The Government is also pushing for electric buses to reduce pollution. Major state transport and private bus operators are now moving towards electric buses in their fleets.
Like other automotive segment, key Indian OEMs for commercial vehicles participated in the event. The key presentation from OEMs revolved around sustainable and clean energy solutions. They have presented CNG, electric as well as hydrogen technologies too.
The OEMs presented their solutions for trucks, buses, and urban mobility solutions. A few OEMs also presented their component and charging solutions. The event also presented an opportunity for some new OEMs to display their innovative solutions.
