Summary
Automotive Engineering Exposition 2022 Yokohama was held for three days from May 25 (Wed.) to 27 (Fri.), 2022, and with the sub-title of "Let's Pioneer with Passion!”, the theme of the event was "The Path to Carbon Neutral”. Last year, the event was held online due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but this year, in addition to being held online, the exhibition venue returned to the Pacifico Yokohama convention and exhibition center and was bustling. According to the organizer, the Society of Automotive Engineers of Japan (JSAE), more than 1,049 booths from 395 companies exhibited and the number of visitors was 43,665.
This report introduces BEVs, PHEVs, and HEVs and their electric powertrain technologies exhibited by OEMs. It also covers the exhibits of batteries, battery modules, safety and other components, which are at the core of electrification technologies.
