This report summarizes current global decarbonization activities, summarized at the COP26 (26th meeting of the Conference of the Parties) summit in the UK (Glasgow) in November 2021. In addition, this report also lists the decarbonization policies independently declared by each country, local government, OEM, etc., and the timing of the discontinuation of internal combustion engine models, focusing on those that will have a large impact on automobile volumes.
Global electrification trends have been analyzed by region in terms of sales, policy, and technology. Regarding sales, LMC Automotive's forecast to 2033 is attached, and future trends where the policies will actually have an effect are also discussed.
