History

Dec. 1929 Established Syowa Kogyo (capitalization of 1 million yen) in Yokkaichi City to produce rubber belts.
Jan. 1930 Renamed as Kamata Choutai. Started producing flat conveyor belts.
Oct. 1937 After Sumitomo Densen Seizousho's (currently Sumitomo Electric Industries Ltd.) management participation, the Company was renamed as Tokai Gomu and started producing industrial rubber products aside from rubber belts.
Mar. 1941 Acquired Futaba Gomu in Ashiya City and renamed it Konan Works.
Apr. 1942 Acquired Watanabe Gomu Kogyosho in Okayama City and renamed it Okayama Works. Started manufacturing braided and coiled hoses.
Aug. 1943 Matsusaka Works merged and started.
Jul. 1945 Transferred Konan Works` production facilities to Okayama and Matsuzaka Works and closed Konan Works.
Jul. 1949 Listed on the Nagoya Stock Exchange.
Feb. 1954 Started production of anti-vibration rubber parts for automobiles.
