Business Overview

-A supplier of automatic transmission (ATs) and continuously variable transmissions (CVTs) in the Hyundai Kia Automotive Group. Its major product is 6-speed automatic transmissions for front-wheel-drive vehicles.

Hyundai Dymos Inc. and Hyundai PowerTech Co., Ltd. officially launched their new joint venture, Hyundai Transys, as of January 2, 2019.The new joint venture will manufacture a full lineup of transmissions such as automatic transmissions, manual transmissions, dual clutch transmissions (DCTs) and continuously variable transmissions. It’s going to produce car seats for the Hyundai Genesis, Grandeur, and Sonata, as well. Also, it plans to expand its sales from about Korean won (KRW) 7 trillion in the business year ended in December 2018 to KRW 12 trillion by 2022. (From a press on January 3, 2019)
