History

June 1995 Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. established Zhejiang Aisin-Honda Automobile Parts Co., Ltd., a joint-venture company to manufacture engine parts.
April 1996 Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd.; the Tangshan Gear Group; Aisin AI Co., Ltd.; and Toyota Tsusho Corporation jointly established Tangshan Aisin Gear Co., Ltd. to manufacture manual transmissions. (Tangshan Aisin Gear became a consolidated subsidiary of the Aisin Group in March, 2003, when the Tangshan Group transferred all the shares it held in this joint venture to the Aisin Group.)
1997 Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd.; Tianjin Automobile Brake Parts Co., Ltd.; Tianjin Automobile Industrial I/E Corp.; and Toyota Tsusho Corporation jointly established Tianjin Aisin Automobile Parts Co., Ltd. to manufacture brake and clutch components. (Tianjin Aisin Automobile Parts Co., Ltd. is now owned 98.1 percent by the Aisin Group, which acquired all the joint venture's shares originally held by Tianjin Automobile Brake Parts.)
May 2001 Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd.; Tianjin Xinlu Automotive Parts; Taiwan Xinchang International Investment; and Toyota Tsusho Corporation jointly established Aisin Tianjin Auto Body Parts Co., Ltd. to manufacture body parts such as door locks and window regulators.
Oct. 2001 Aisin Takaoka Co., Ltd.; Lioho Machine Works of Taiwan;and Toyota Tsusho Corporation jointly established Takaoka Lioho (Tianjin) Industries Co., Ltd. to manufacture cast iron products such as disc rotors.
April 2002 Aisin AW Co., Ltd. established Beijing ADF Navigation Technology Co., Ltd. to develop and manufacture car navigation systems in Beijing jointly with AutoNavi Software Co., Ltd., Fujitsu Ten and other companies. Aisin AW invested 13.1 percent of the needed capital.
Feb. 2004 Advics established Advics Tianjin Automobile Parts Co., Ltd. to manufacture brake systems and brake components. Production at the new facility started in February, 2005.
March 2004 Aisin AW Co., Ltd. and China FAW jointly established Tianjin AW Automatic Transmission Co., Ltd. to produce automatic transmissions. The new company began commercial operations in March, 2005.
April 2004 Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. established Aisin Seiki (Foshan) Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. to manufacture engine parts such as crank cases in Guangdong Province. Commercial production at the new plant started in August, 2005.
Sep. 2004 Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd.; Araco (now merged into Toyota Boshoku); and Toyota Boshoku Corporation jointly established Fengai (Guangzhou) Automotive Seat Parts Co., Ltd. to produce seat frames and seat parts. Commercial production at the new facility started in April, 2006.
Sep. 2004 Hosei Brake and Goshen Industries of Taiwan established Fengsheng (Fuzhou) Brake Co., Ltd. to manufacture rear parking brakes and other brake products. The new plant started commercial operations in April, 2006.
Nov. 2004 Advics and Toyota Tsusho Corporation jointly established Advics Guangzhou Automobile Parts Co., Ltd. to manufacture brake systems and brake parts. The new plant started commercial operations in May, 2006.
Dec. 2004 Aisin Seiki; Elite Sewing Manufacturing Co., Ltd. (Aisin's subsidiary in Taiwan); and Hsin Chong Machinery Works jointly established Aisin Seiki Foshan Body Parts Co., Ltd. to produce body components such as sunroof systems. Commercial production at the new facility started in April, 2006.
March 2005 Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. provided 100 percent of the capital to establish Tangshan Aisin Automotive Parts Co., Ltd. in Tangshan City, Hebei Province. The new facility started manufacturing engines and aluminum die-casting parts in October, 2006.
April 2005 Aisin Takaoka, Liufeng Machinery (a Chinese unit of Taiwan-based LiohoTakaoka Lioho (Guangzhou), and Toyota Tsusho jointly established Takaoka Lioho (Guangzhou) Machinery Industries Co., Ltd. to make cast-iron parts such as disc rotors from 2006.
Nov. 2005 Aisin Seiki Co., Ltd. and Toyota Boshoku Corporation established Tianjin Feng AI Automotive Seat Parts Co., Ltd. to manufacture seat frames and seat components. Production at the new plant started in May, 1997.
May 2007 Aisin AW Co., Ltd. established AW Shanghai Automotive Parts Trading Co., Ltd. in order to sell car navigation systems in Shanghai.
July 2008 Tianjin Aisin Automobile Parts Co., Ltd., the Group's brake production subsidiary, was merged with ADVICS Tianjin Automobile Parts Co., Ltd. leaving ADVICS Tianjin Automobile Parts as a surviving company.
Dec 2008 Aisin AW Co., Ltd. established AW Hangzhou Software Development Co., Ltd.
2010 Established Tangshan Aisin Chemical Co., Ltd.
2011 Established AW Suzhou Co., Ltd. Advics Fuzhou Automobile Parts Co., Ltd.Takaoka Lioho (Yunfu) Industries Co., Ltd. Aisin Wuxi Body Parts Co., Ltd. Aisin Seiki Foshan Electronics Co., Ltd.
