Brake systems
- In July 2008, ADVICS Tianjin Automobile Parts Co., Ltd. officially merged with Tianjin Aisin Automobile Parts Co., Ltd.

Car navigation systems (production is outsourced to Jiangsu Shinco Electronics)
- In April 2008, Jiangsu Shinco Electronics Group Co., Ltd. started producing DVD navigation systems for the Shanghai VW Lavida based on a consignment production agreement with Aisin AW. A navigation system board developed by Aisin was brought to the market by Jiangsu Shinco Electronics as a display of a separate type DVD navigation system. The navigation system will be supplied to Shanghai VW via Aisin AW's sales company in Shanghai.

Onboard software
-In November 2008, Aisin AW Co., Ltd. announced that it will establish AW Hangzou Software Development Co., Ltd., a software development joint venture with Totyu Software Co., Ltd.. The new company in Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, capitalized at 100 million yen, is aimed to respond to growing demand for the development of control software for automatic transmissions. Aisin AW will hold 80% and Totyu Software will hold 20% of shares. Initially a total of 80 employees will be engaged in contract design, evaluation, and development of onboard software as well as its research and gathering of technical information.
