-Beijing Horizon Robotics Technology R&D Co., Ltd. (Horizon Robotics) announced the release of the Journey 5 chip for smart driving and a smart computing platform based on Journey 5, the Together OS operating system, and the Horizon Matrix SuperDrive vehicle smart solution. The single-chip AI processing power of Journey 5 is 128 TOPS, and it supports 16 channels of camera sensing. The in-vehicle smart computing platform based on the Journey 5 supports computational power, algorithms, and development efficiency and is effective in a variety of vehicle applications. Together OS, a real-time operation system, accelerates the individual development and production of AI software, while automating the software update process and speeding up the development process of smart vehicles. Horizon Matrix SuperDrive is a solution that integrates 47 sensors to support smart vehicle functions in all situations, including high speed, urban areas, parking, and human-computer interaction. Phase 1 design of the Journey 5 is complete.
-Beijing Horizon Robotics Technology R&D Co., Ltd. (Horizon Robotics) announced that it succeeded in the tape-out (final phase of chip design life cycle) of the Journey 5 chips, the company’s third-generation automotive-standard product designed for Level-4 autonomous driving scenarios. As a full-scenario intelligent central computing chip for vehicles, the Journey 5 chip meets the needs of both autonomous driving and intelligent interaction. The Journey 5 single chip has a maximum AI computing power of 128TOPS (Tera Operations per Second). Announcement of the Journey 3 automotive AI chip
-The Journey 3, a new-generation automotive AI chip, was unveiled at the Beijing Motor Show. Space Tech, a company that focuses on low-speed automated driving, also exhibited an automated parking and valet parking system that uses the Journey 3. The system utilizes the Journey 3's peripheral recognition function and sensor fusion to detect parking spaces, obstacles, pedestrians, and drivable areas to achieve automatic parking. Also at a press conference, GAC R&D Center and GAC Capital signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Horizon and jointly released the GAC version of Journey 3. This chip is based on the deep learning network used by the GAC Group to optimize the software and hardware, and at the same time, it is being tuned to meet the requirements of GAC Group's production models. Journey 2 automotive AI chip
-In August 2019, the company announced the volume production of the Journey 2, an automotive AI chip. The chip features the company's BPU2.0 (Brain Processing Unit) computing architecture, which enables 4 TOPS capabilities with 2 watts of power consumption. -On June 23, Chery Holding Group Co., Ltd. (Chery Holding Group) and Beijing Horizon Robotics Technology R&D Co., Ltd. (Horizon Robotics) signed a strategic cooperation agreement in the city of Wuhu, Anhui Province. Joint technological R&D and product cooperation will be made in such fields as intelligent driving and intelligent interaction. They will work together to develop intelligent connected vehicles. -On July 29, 2021, Anhui Jianghuai Automobile Group Corp., Ltd. (JAC) announced that it formed a partnership with Beijing Horizon Robotics Technology R&D Co., Ltd. (Horizon Robotics) as the companies intend to cooperate on production of the Journey 5 chips. They agreed to facilitate the production of JAC’s self-developed high-end autonomous vehicles based on the Journey 5 chips. As the third automotive-standard AI chip introduced by Horizon Robotics following the production of the preceding Journey 2 and Journey 3 chips, the Journey 5 chip has a maximum AI computing power of 128 TOPS (Tera Operations per Second) per chip and supports perceptual computing with 16 cameras. Additionally, the Journey 5 chip can realize such functions as fusion, forecasting and planning controls which are necessary for autonomous driving scenarios. SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle
-On February 22, 2021, Beijing Horizon Robotics Technology R&D Co., Ltd. (Horizon Robotics) announced on its WeChat platform that it signed an agreement for a comprehensive strategic partnership with SAIC Motor Passenger Vehicle Company (SMPV). The companies will work together to develop intelligent and connected automotive products with SAIC Motor brand features. According to the agreement, Horizon Robotics will provide SMPV with a complete solution for intelligent driving based on the Journey-series intelligent automotive chips, including the Journey 2, Journey 3 and Journey 5 chips. Horizon Robotics will focus on the development of products in such fields as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), autonomous driving and intelligent cockpits to assist SMPV in developing evolvable intelligent vehicles. -Continental AG (Continental) announced that it has signed a joint venture (JV) contract with Beijing Horizon Robotics Technology R&D Co., Ltd. (Horizon Robotics), focusing on providing hardware and software integrated solutions for advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and autonomous driving. Continental will be the majority shareholder. They also signed an investment contract with Shanghai Jiading Industrial Zone where the new JV will be located. The target of the JV is to integrate Horizon Robotics’ processors and algorithms in smart cameras and control units for ADAS and automated driving from Continental and to give Horizon Robotics a global reach and manufacturing footprint for its technology. Establishes a joint development lab with PATEO CONNECT+
-The Company and Shanghai Pateo Yuezhen Network Technology Service Co., Ltd. (PATEO CONNECT+) have formed a strategic alliance. The two companies will establish a joint development lab for the Horizon Journey, an AI chip-enabled cockpit platform, in order to promote collaboration and joint product development with a focus on intelligent cockpits. Establishes AI chip global R&D center in the China Shanghai Free Trade Zone

AI Joint research with SAIC
-On August 28, 2020, SAIC Motor Corporation Limited (SAIC Motor) signed an agreement with the company to launch a joint artificial intelligence (AI) laboratory. SAIC Motor and Horizon Robotics will cooperate in the field of intelligent connectivity technologies. They will work together to develop future-oriented AI technologies and create intelligent connectivity terminal apps that leverage SAIC Motor’s brand features. Established a joint lab with FAW Intelligent Connection Development Institute
-The intelligent connection development institute of China First Automobile Co., Ltd. (FAW intelligent connection development institute) signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Beijing Horizon Robotics Technology R&D Co., Ltd. (Horizon Robotics) to work together on advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), high-level autonomous driving and intelligent cockpits and jointly develop intelligent connected vehicle products. According to the agreement, Horizon Robotics will provide the FAW intelligent connection development institute with products and technologies including Journey intelligent driving processors, Matrix autonomous driving computing platform, visual perception algorithms, crowdsourced high definition maps and positioning, and intelligent cockpits.
