-Chinese privately-owned automotive components manufacturer. Its main business includes the development, production and sales of automotive braking systems, electronic control systems, intelligent driving systems, in-wheel motors and chassis-by-wire systems.

-In the field of electronic control systems for automobiles, the Company has developed and manufactured chassis electronic brake system products such as electronic stability systems, regenerative brake control type ABS (EABS), electronic parking brakes (EPB), electric brake booster (iBooster), and integrated electro-hydraulic brake systems(IEHB).

-In the field of connected and New Energy Vehicles, the Company has developed 77GHz millimeter-wave radar and visual systems (including controllers), and industrialized advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). It has already entered the procurement platforms of OEMs such as VW, GM, Honda, Nissan and PSA.

-Its products are sold under the brand names Xianghu, APG, Yatai AP, Yatai and IBS.

-The Company's customers include Chinese and non-Chinese OEMs and its products are exported to North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, and other countries and regions.

-Of the 124 new programs undertaken in 2020, 45 are related to automotive electronics and ADAS. Based on active safety technology, the Company is developing business in the fields of connected cars and New Energy Vehicles.

1976 Shiyan Renmin Commune Automobile Brake Factory was established.
1978 Shiyan Renmin Commune Automobile Brake Factory changed its name into Xiaoshan Shiyan Commune Automobile Brake Factory.
1980 Xiaoshan Shiyan Commune Automobile Brake Factory changed its name into Xiaoshan Automotive Brake Factory.
May 1994 The Company established Zhejiang Asia-Pacific Machine & Electric Group Limited as part of its reorganization project.
2000 The Group took on the form of a stock company and adopted a new name, Zhejiang Asia-Pacific Mechanical & Electronic Co., Ltd.
Sep. 2002 Established Asia-Pacific Automobile Chassis Co., Ltd. in Wuhu City, Anhui province.
July 2003 Established Hangzhou APG-FTE Automotive Co., Ltd., which is a joint venture with FTE Automotive GmbH of Germany.
Apr. 2004 Established Hangzhou APG-TBK Brake System Co., Ltd.
2005 Established Hangzhou Keunil Enpla Automotive Co., Ltd. through a 50-50 joint venture with a Korean plastics manufacturer, Keunil Enpla Co., Ltd.
Dec. 2007 The Company and Beijing Automotive Industry established a joint-venture company, Beijing Yatai Automobile Chassis System Co., Ltd.
Aug. 2009 The Company was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.

Dec. 2014 The Company's subsidiary Hangzhou TBK-APG Brakes Co., Ltd. completed the deregistration procedures for foreign-invested corporations.
July 2015 The Company's subsidiary Zhengzhou Asia-Pacific Chassis Parts Co., Ltd. completed the deregistration procedures.
Aug. 2015 The Company established a wholly-owned subsidiary named Shanghai ZA Automotive Technology Co., Ltd. in the city of Shanghai.
Feb. 2016 The Company deregistered Zhejiang Asia-Pacific Mechanical & Electronic Co., Ltd. Wuhan Branch.
The Company established a wholly-owned subsidiary named Wuhan ZA Chassis Co., Ltd. in Wuhan.
Mar. 2016 The Company and Zonve Auto Exhibition established Chongqing Asia-Pacific Chassis Systems Co., Ltd., of which the Company owns 80% and Zonve Auto Exhibition holds 20%.
Apr. 2016 The Company established Hangzhou Asia-Pacific Elaphe Power Technologies Co., Ltd. with Elaphe Propulsion Technologies Ltd., its affiliated company. The joint company is owned 51% by the Company and 49% by Elaphe.
Mar. 2017 The Company's Shanghai Branch finished registration.
