The 20th Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai 2023) was held at the Shanghai National Exhibition and Convention Center from April 18 to 27, 2023. In the field of NEV batteries, manufacturers such as CATL, CALB, EVE Energy, SVOLT, REPT , and Sunwoda exhibited their latest level technologies and products such as lithium-ion batteries and battery swapping stations (BSS).

With the spread of electrification, major battery manufacturers are continuously developing and innovating conduction structures, heat dissipation methods, and charging technologies to dramatically improve battery safety and range, and promote more efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly electrification. Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd. (CATL) has simultaneously improved energy density and safety through innovation in the reaction state of reactants. China Lithium Battery Technology Co., Ltd. (CALB) and REPT BATTERO Energy Co., Ltd. (REPT) improve space utilization by improving the battery structure and reducing internal resistance. EVE Energy Co., Ltd. (EVE Energy) and SVOLT Energy Technology Co., Ltd. (SVOLT) provide new solutions for battery heat dissipation to ensure product safety. The flash charging technology released by Sunwoda Electric Vehicle Battery Co., Ltd. (Sunwoda) offers the possibility of more efficient and convenient mobility. The electrification of Chinese vehicles is expected to develop more rapidly and vigorously under the competition and collaboration of major manufacturers.

This report introduces the activities of six Chinese battery manufacturers, including CATL, who were exhibiting at Auto Shanghai 2023 (Shanghai Motor Show).
