TECHNO-FRONTIER 2025: BEV Teardown Exhibits
Tesla Cybertruck and Xiaomi SU7: traction motor, thermal management system
Summary
TECHNO-FRONTIER 2025, organized by the Japan Management Association, was held July 23-25, 2025, at the Tokyo Big Sight international exhibition center. TECHNO-FRONTIER is an exhibition that started in 1983 as the Small Motor Technology Expo (this year was the 43rd Motor Technology Expo). According to an announcement by the organizer, the Japan Management Association, the total number of registered visitors for the three-day event was 28,928, resembling last year’s expo (22,932). The number of visitors who registered for the co-sponsored exhibitions (Maintenance & Resilience Tokyo 2025, Heat Solution Tokyo 2025, Occupational Safety & Health Exhibition Tokyo 2025, Noise Reduction Expo Tokyo 2025) was 7,232, half of last year's number (13,698). This is thought to be because this year's venue for TECHNO-FRONTIER was the West Exhibition Hall, which was far from the East Exhibition Hall, where the co-sponsored exhibitions were held.
This report introduces some of the electrification technology exhibits, including a BEV teardown exhibit that was arranged by the organizer.
