Summary

The 2025 China Auto Forum was held in July in Jiading District, Shanghai. Hosted by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the theme of the event was “Enhance quality, embrace innovation and win the future with intelligence”. The Forum consisted of a closed-door conference, a convention forum, a technology leadership summit, thematic sessions and thematic events. At each conference, discussions and exchanges of opinions took place on key points and important themes in the automotive industry.

2025 China Auto Forum

This report introduces some of the content related to drive batteries given by guest speakers from CATL, Farasis Energy, and Dongfeng Motor in Thematic Session 9, "Recognizing Change, Responding to Change, and Consolidating the Development Advantages of the Drive Battery Industry."

CATL (Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Ltd.) introduced the standardization of automotive drive battery modules and the exploration and implementation of battery swap models. Farasis Energy (Farasis Energy (Ganzhou) Co., Ltd.) primarily discussed the development and product characteristics of pouch-type solid-state batteries. Dongfeng Motor (Dongfeng Motor Corporation) explained the status of standardization and development trends of drive batteries.
