The 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024) was held at the China International Exhibition Center from April 25 to May 4. The exhibition attracted attention from renowned Chinese and non-Chinese automakers, suppliers, and technology exhibitors. The event covered a total area of 220,000 square meters, showcasing 117 world premiere models, 41 concept cars and 278 NEV models. A total of 892,000 people (including 28,000 from outside of China) visited the venue.

This report focuses mainly on NEVs among the new models of the SAIC Group and the Chery Group, and introduces new trends of each group. The SAIC Group unveiled the Roewe iMAX8 FCH, a hydrogen-fueled range-extender hybrid MPV, and debuted the MG EXE181 electrified supercar concept model. Additionally, IM exhibited its newly announced BEV sedan "L6," while Maxus exhibited PHEV models of the MPVs "Mifa 9" and "Mifa 7." The Wuling brand launched the "Wuling Xingguang” jointly created versions (BEV/PHEV) of the sedan. The Chery Group has launched a variety of new models under its four major brands, Chery, Exeed, Jetour, and iCAR. From the Fulwin series announced in the second half (H2) of 2023, the company unveiled its first concept car, the E06 NEV SUV, while the Exeed brand unveiled its first MPV concept car, the Exeed E08, and the iCAR 03T BEV SUV for the first time in the world. In the Jetour brand's Shanhai series, several models were unveiled, including a PHEV off-road SUV.
