Summary

  The 18th Beijing International Automotive Exhibition (Auto China 2024) was held at the China International Exhibition Center from April 25 to May 4. Of these days, April 25-26 were press days, April 27-28 were industry days, and April 29-May 4 were open to the public. This was the first time in four years that the event was held in Beijing due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Auto China 2024 was attended by many well-known domestic and international automakers, suppliers and technology companies, and covered a total area of 220,000 square meters, showcasing 117 world premiere models, 41 concept cars and 278 NEV models.

  Among the Japanese automakers, Toyota Motor Corporation (Toyota) debuted two new models of its battery EV (BEV) series "bZ", the "bZ3C" and "bZ3X". Lexus, Toyota’s luxury vehicle division, unveiled its next-generation BEV concept car “LF-ZC” and flagship concept car “LF-ZL” for the first time in China. Honda Motor Co., Ltd. (Honda) debuted the "Yè P7" and "Yè S7," the first models in its new China-exclusive "Yè series” brand, as well as a model from the second round of the "Yè series”, the "Yè GT Concept” car. Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. (Nissan) unveiled five NEV (new energy vehicle) concept models, the Nissan Epoch Concept, Nissan Epic Concept, Nissan Era Concept, Nissan Evo Concept, and Hyper Force, for the first time in China. Infiniti, Nissan’s luxury vehicle division, unveiled its first EV sedan, the “Vision Qe”, for the first time in China. Mazda Motor Corporation (Mazda) unveiled its new electric sedan, the “Mazda EZ-6,” and a new EV concept model, the Mazda “Sou Arata”.
