U.S. auto sales up 7.8% in June; HEV demand increases amid high gasoline prices
According to preliminary figures compiled by MarkLines as of July 2, U.S. new vehicle sales in June 2026 (including estimated figures for GM, Stellantis, etc.) totaled 1,366,093 units, up 7.8% year-over-year. The number of selling days in June was 25, one day more than in the same month last year.
