U.S. auto sales up 5.8% in September, buoyed by rush ahead of EV tax credit expiration
The number of new vehicles sold in the U.S. in September 2025 (preliminary figures including estimates for GM/Stellantis/Tesla, etc.), aggregated by MarkLines as of October 2, was 1,252,079 units, up 5.8% y/y. The number of sales days in September was 24, one more than in the same month last year.
