Geely's European Market Launch Schedule
Geely plans to launch its small electric vehicle in Europe in the second half of 2026, targeting the expanding EUR 20,000 subcompact EV market. The model—corresponding to the Xingyuan in China— will be named E2 in the Italian market and EX2 in the UK and other European markets. According to MarkLines data, the European subcompact EV market is already crowded with major rivals, including the BYD Dolphin Surf, Firefly by Nio, Renault 5 E-Tech Electric, Citroën ë-C3, and Peugeot E-208. In addition, Leapmotor plans to launch its B03 model (marketed in China as the A05) by the end of 2026, further intensifying competition in this segment.

Supply chain: Maruti Suzuki Jimny (India)
The Maruti Suzuki Jimny is a 5-door compact SUV with a ladder frame that has been produced at the Gurgaon plant since May 2023. Over the past two years, production has consistently averaged 6,000 units per month. In April 2025, a Japan-spec model based on this vehicle was launched in Japan as the "Jimny Nomade." While the company relies on global system suppliers for certain components - such as air conditioning from Denso (Subros), steering from JTEKT, and lamps from Koito (India Japan Lighting) - it also makes extensive use of local Indian suppliers, including Highly Marelli Motherson for A/C compressors, Motherson Yutaka for exhaust systems, and Bharat Seats for seats.
