The Suzuki Jimny, a full-fledged four-wheel-drive vehicle with a ladder frame, is the fourth generation since the first model was released in 1970, and it went on sale in July 2018. In Japan, the Kosai Plant (Shizuoka pref.) produces the Jimny (a kei car) and the 1.5-liter, 3-door Jimny Sierra. Average monthly sales of Jimny Sierra and Jimny Nomade in the Japanese market from January to June 2026 were approximately 5,000 units. The supplier structure for vehicles produced in Japan utilizes both system suppliers with a global focus and leading local suppliers. Denso supplies air conditioning and electrical components; JTEKT supplies steering-related parts; Koito Manufacturing supplies lamps; Tokai Rika supplies switches; Sumitomo Wiring Systems supplies wire harnesses; and Futaba Industrial supplies exhaust-related parts. The company also actively pursues global procurement by utilizing overseas suppliers such as Aumovio, GKN Driveline (Dauch), Valeo, and Stabilus.

Sales in Malaysia rise by 23.3% in June, driven by strong performance from Perodua’s Bezza and Proton’s Saga.
